The floods that occurred from September to October last year caused great damage in various parts of Chiang Mai. The eco-museum, which was renovated in collaboration with local residents and a local university in a rural area about 40 kilometers south of Chiang Mai, was also affected. In this workshop, in addition to restoring the houses, specifically painting the exterior walls, repairing roofing materials and brick tiles, and repairing floorboards, the submerged exhibits were restored while staying in the village, and a multi-purpose pavilion for tourism was also constructed at the request of the village. In the second half of the workshop, a market was planned to help the self-reliance of the flood-affected community in the Chang Moi area, which has been bustling since ancient times in Chiang Mai. The participants were divided into mixed Japanese and Thai teams, who analyzed the area and interviewed residents, and created high-quality drawings and presentation boards in a short time. The final results were presented at the Faculty of Architecture of Chiang Mai University, where lively discussions were held with the participation of university staff.
