One of the missions of this laboratory is to pass on the methods of architectural anthropology to the next generation of young and ambitious students.
In this modern day we live in, there are not only fun things, but also many hard things. Society does not always give us peace of mind, and we don't know when natural disasters will change our daily lives.
The old neighborhoods are quickly cleared by huge capital and power, and the traditional and only residences are consumed by globalization and turned into boring designs that are everywhere. Architecture, which is deeply involved in the nature of people's identities, has long been the object of consumption.
In this situation, it is architectural anthropology that reveals the power of architecture. The object is not buildings based on rationality and functionality planted after modern times, but buildings that exist beyond their understanding and sometimes in a way that is not easily understood.
Compared to huge modern architecture, they are materially extremely weak, but in the world, there are architectures that retain their fundamental strength and take root in a globalized and politicized society.
